New Starch Procedure for Fecal and Forage Samples
New Starch Procedure for Fecal and Forage Samples
Rock River Laboratory has recently adopted a more accurate method of determining percent starch in forage and fecal samples. This technique was developed and revised by MaryBeth Hall, Ph. D. USDA Research Animal Scientist. This procedure allows us to more accurately determine the starch content as this method extracts only starch. Our previous method included sugar content as well.

Split-sample comparisons with the University of Wisconsin have confirmed that this technique will provide more accurate results for our customers. If there are any questions regarding the new procedure for determining starch content please contact us.
