Corn PlantsPlant Tissue Analysis

Explore the Plant Tissue Plus suite of tools

Plant tissue analysis provides agronomists and growers an opportunity to diagnose nutrient deficiencies in crops as they grow, but the process of collecting and submitting a tissue sample can seem daunting. This is why the team of experts at Rock River Laboratory crafted the Plant Tissue Plus suite of tools, combining easy-to-use tools that take the confusion out of plant tissue analysis:

Easy Sample Submission

  • The free Plant Tissue Plus app was designed to easily submit samples and decrease the chance of human error.
  • Simple paper submission forms are also available and easy to complete.
  • Breathable, pre-labeled tissue bags include barcodes to scan directly into the Plant Tissue Plus app, while also allowing the sample to dry in the bag, reducing chances of spoilage and improving analysis turnaround time.

Accurate, Customized Analysis

  • Accurate plant tissue analysis from Rock River Laboratory can help understand strange plant colors or help in weekly corn plant tissue analysis for record yield programs.
  • Plant-soil convergence analysis utilizes plant and soil analysis to paint a complete picture of the plant and soil interaction to help solve challenges in the field - correcting the problem instead of just the symptom.

Logical Results Reporting

  • Easily interpreted visual reports visually represent interpretations in a simple graphic that plots out where the plant tissue and soil analyses lie - providing an opportunity for better communication between agronomists and growers. See the report here
  • Published research interpretations are unbiased and stem directly from research conducted and published by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Plant Tissue Plus reports also include as many interpretations as there are data - including sufficiency ranges, PASS (Plant Analysis Standardized Scores), and DRIS (Diagnosis and Recommendations Integrated System).
